This morning while checking my spam folder on my yahoo I ran into an email from Andrei. I have an agreement with him and everytime they come to the market with a new advert I receive it and my colleagues write about it on AdCritics. Today I received a couple of prints from a campaign meant to save the Danube delta. And here they are …

The first thing that comes to my mind is “Damn!” I think this is a true proof of courage. And it shows that there still are people who have balls! Big Balls! I wonder if I’ll get to see this print anywhere else than the blogosphere. Still it started to go around pretty fast. I mean there already are a bunch of people who wrote about it. I saw it at Madalin for example. So, maybe the Danube delta could be saved viraly.

@Bogdan: aside than unrealistic costs, i think people wouldn’t give a shit. as you see that’s luxury advertising, so exactly the idiots that throw non-disposable garbage in the Danube delta.

cool prints! too bad i can´t post them on my blog. they´re good for blogs with a largely Romanian readership

@Marmota din Muntii de Plastic: Why can’t you post them? Just save them and upload them on yours. What’s stopping you?

Off topic: Adrian, your translator don’t work in romanian language!
January 17th, 2009 at 12:39 pm
@Dany: I know. This is the catch. I chose romanian as an official language in the settings but I’m writing in english and this way it doesn’t transalte in romanian. Wicked.

it would be an off-topic theme on my blog. also, acc. to my Google Analytics, over 60% of my blog readership is from the US. less than 20% is Romanian. so most of my readers don’t know what the Danube Delta is, don’t care about species going extinct there and don’t have the linguistic apparatus to understand the prints in Romanian.
i would gladly take part in the campaign if the prints were in English, though (but how to translate that really cool ‘va mu(ltum)im ‘catch?)…

@Marmota din Muntii de Plastic:
I’m sure you could find a way “to transalte” the expression. It doesn’t have to be literally the same. English is as flexible as anyother language so …
